Volunteer Responsibilities, Expectations, Conduct and Wavier Agreement 

Volunteer or Volunteer Groups can expect City staff to: 

· Clearly define goals and expectations in relation to completing projects or tasks

· Assign projects or tasks that are complementary to the volunteer’s or group’s talents, and skills in relation to what is needed to complete project or task

· Emphasize and promote safety guidelines

· Provide necessary tools, supplies, and resources for projects or tasks

· Provide oversight and review by City staff or designated Project Leader

· Express appreciation and recognition for volunteer’s or group’s contributions

Volunteers and Groups Responsibilities and Expectations: 

· Represent City of Jenks in a professional manner and portray a positive image to the community

· Perform work to the best of your or group’s ability

· Work cooperatively as a team member with city staff and other volunteers

· Report to the project site or city location as scheduled

· Follow all safety procedures and guidelines as instructed by City staff or designated Project Leader

· Will not be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs before or during volunteer time

· Will avoid use of inappropriate language or profanity

· Provide City staff with feedback once projects or tasks are completed

· Observe confidentiality requirements pertaining to sensitive or personal information Hold confidential sensitive or personal information of the City or resident

· Allow the City of Jenks to use my likeness, voice, photograph and words in any form for promotion activities without payment 

· Abide by the City of Jenks Code of Ethics and Social Media Policy approved by the Jenks City Council

· Will not discriminate

Waiver of Liability 

In consideration of the City of Jenks allowing me/my child/my organization/my family or business to participate volunteer assignment, and being aware of the possible injuries that could occur as a result of this participation, I, on behalf of myself, my child, my organization, my family, or business, release the City of Jenks officials, employees, agents, instructors, from any and all injuries and damages, whatsoever, arising from participation in projects or tasks assigned.
