1. Why should I license my dog?

The most important reasons to license your dog or cat are:

• A current license is proof of rabies vaccination and shows your dog or cat is protected from rabies.
• A lost dog or cat with a license tag has a better chance of being returned to its owner.

• Spayed Female - $3
• Unspayed Female - $5

If you are given or purchase a pet that is already licensed, you will need to purchase a new license for that pet. 

3. How do I license my dog?

If your dog is vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian, you can take the signed vaccination certificate to the Police Dispatch window located at the following address to purchase a license:

4. How often do I have to license my dog?

A license is valid for one year and must be renewed annually.

5. What happens if my dog loses its tags?

If your dog loses its license tags, a new license can be purchased for a small fee.
