Lane Closures on Main Street and on Birch Street Begin August 14th

A contracted construction company began a project today that includes improvements to the storm sewer, water lines, pedestrian facilities, and pavement on West Main Street (between Elm Street and 1st Street) and Birch Street (between West Main Street and Jenks Veterans Park).

The contractor indicated they plan to begin with the water lines along Birch Street, which should not cause major traffic disruptions, and all residents will always have access to their homes. One lane of traffic in each direction on West Main Street will always be open, but please expect some delays with the lane closures during this project.

We will provide additional notifications regarding closures of Birch and lane shifts along Main Street as the project progresses.
