Aug. 20th: ODOT to Install 3-Way Stop Signs on East & West side of Main Street Bridge Over US HWY 75
Today, August 20th, Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) is installing two, 3-way stop signs on the West and East side of the Main Street Bridge over US HWY 75. These stop signs will improve flow of traffic coming off the highway and entering the highway. Please see attached picture.
ODOT crews are putting out message boards near the location to warn drivers of this change (currently there are no stop signs in place except coming off the highway).
The attached exhibit shows the proposed location of the new stop signs and potential delineators (plastic posts) at this interchange. This change is meant to improve the safety of this interchange and reduce accidents until a more comprehensive upgrade to this interchange can occur.
We appreciate drivers being cautious in this area as this change will take some adjustment time.
