Jenks Fire & Rescue Is Hosting Its 2nd Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training For Our Citizens.
CERT training prepares you to help yourself, your family, and your neighbors in the event of a disaster. Some of the topics covered are disaster preparedness, light fire suppression, utility control, disaster medicine, and light search & rescue; each segment with hands-on experience! Many of these skills, such as extinguishing small fires, first aid, and safe utility shutoff, can also be helpful in minor emergencies at home and work!
The three day course is being held February 20, 27 & March 5, 9am – 5pm each day, at Jenks Fire Station 2 located at 1115 W. 121st Street. Jenks Fire is hosting this class at no cost to participants, but you must register because space is limited.
