The City of Jenks has had 1059 new houses constructed since the beginning of 2010. 2014 had the most new activity in that time frame with 278 new starts.

According to City Planner Robert Bell, "The City of Jenks has experienced a steady growth pattern since the year 2000. The 2000 Census by the Federal Government established the population of Jenks at 9,511 people. By the 2010 Census the population had grown to 16,924. During the economic downturn of 2008, Jenks still experienced 203 new homes within the City.  We estimate the population of Jenks at the beginning of 2015 to be 20,630. Jenks is still right where everyone is wanting to be. The City is recognized as one of the most desirable places to live in Oklahoma. It is also recognized as a point of destination for tourist to the State of Oklahoma with attractions like the Oklahoma Aquarium, Riverwalk Crossing, Jenks Public Schools and the popular Arts and Antique District."
