Seniors Sitting Around Tables for the Holidays


We welcome anyone 55 years or older who live in Jenks or surrounding communities to become a member. Dues are $10 a year which runs October 1 through September 30.

Activities Offered

Our seniors enjoy the following in the mornings:

  • Regular dominoes, Mexican Train, Chicken Foot
  • Cards (Spades, Phase 10, Uno, Skip-Bo)
  • Puzzles 
  • Celebrating the holidays with themed activities
  • Entertainment provided throughout the year for the enjoyment of the group
  • Guest speakers offer information relevant to seniors
  • Free Painting classes are offered on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon for members of our organization.

Afternoon Activities

Our members enjoy playing the following in the afternoons:

  • Bridge, Spades
  • Rummikub, Scrabble

Special Events

Once a month we offer Bingo and Bunco, and either a Movie Day or Game and Pizza Day.

Special Speakers

Special speakers on various topics and entertainment programs are from 10:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. We ask your courtesy in giving attention to our speakers and entertainers. You are asked to put away all games, place cell phones on silent and refrain from talking during the special programs. Speakers selling services or products are prohibited. Members are prohibited from selling crafts or other products.


We have a 14-passenger bus that is used to transport Senior Citizens to and from weekly luncheons and activities for those members who do not have transportation. If you live in the City of Jenks and need a ride, please call our Coordinator at 918-299-1700 to arrange for a ride. Pick-up time is around 8:30 a.m. 

In addition to the weekly luncheons, we utilize our bus to take our Seniors on various trips and outing which include:

  • Meals at restaurants
  • Movies, Museums, Musicals
  • Tours of historic places and other activities                                 
  • On special trips, if the Activity Sign-Up list is full, please add your name to the wait list in case of a cancellation.


Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. Please refrain from visiting during announcements.


Our Center’s cook prepares beans, heavy stew or soup and cornbread on Tuesdays and a meat dish on Fridays. Our menu is included on the monthly calendar.

Donation of Food

We ask that our members either provide a side dish to add to the luncheon or make a $5 donation. For those bringing food, each member should bring a covered dish or dessert large enough to feed 6 to 8 members. (Please note: 1 can of vegetables will not feed 6 to 8 members). Couples should bring two small covered dishes or one large dish. Food should be cooked, ready to serve and at the center by 11 a.m. 

Cash Donation

If you do not bring a dish/dessert we ask for a donation of $5. Cookies or breakfast treats are not considered a covered dish but are appreciated as a morning snack. Upon arrival, please be sure to sign in with the door greeter and mark the correct column - food or donation.

First Time Guest

55 years or older, no charge for lunch.

Serving Order for Lunch

The coordinator will call table row numbers (1 to 4) for you to get your lunch. Please go through the food line before picking a dessert. Door greeters, guests and birthdays get to go first. Please take only what you can eat.


Members of the Jenks Senior Citizens (JSC) must be able to take care of their own personal and health needs.  Caregivers are welcome to accompany members and will be solely responsible for the health and well-being of that member.  The Board reserves the right to terminate a JSC membership after three incidents that involve emergency personnel, or the incidents interfere with the daily activities of the membership or the Coordinator, or if the incidents create an unsafe situation for the membership.
